About Allora Designs,
Handbag Architecture
My name is Julia
Somma Wilhelm and I would like to
take this time to introduce my
new line of handbags.
I have been an architect for over
20 years and I have recently started designing and
manufacturing handbags.
I received my architectural
degree from Carnegie Mellon University located in
Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where my passion to design
and create was fostered. While expecting my first
child, I rekindled my enthusiasm for sewing by making
my own maternity clothes. Then along came my second
child and I became a stay at home mom. The desire
to create and design was still alive and well. In
order to fulfill this desire I decided to combine
my architectural design skills with my sewing skills
and create an unique line of architecturally inspired
handbags. So then came the birth of my "third child"
... Allora Designs, Handbag Architecture.
In our Collection; Graphic
Standards, the new blueprint for success
is to begin with standard classical shapes and infuse
them with bold graphic prints and our Italian leathers
are beautiful. The canvas is treated with a soil
repellent and waterproofing. Each handbag is adorned
with Allora Design's logo medallion and each design
is available with Allora Design's signature logo
fabric.
Plan A : There
are no rules to follow when you accessorize with
your Allora Designs handbag, have fun and think
outside the box. Use your handbag as a form of self
expression. As your mood changes so can your handbag!
In a world where everything is mass
produced, it is nice to be able to make your own
statement. Why not make it with your handbag!
